IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR VISIT

Prior to your visit:

  • Review our complete list of exhibits and galleries at www.museum.msu.edu
  • Parking Information: Limited metered parking is available in front of the Museum and in nearby parking structures, including the Grand River Avenue Parking Ramp No. 6. This ramp is located at the corner of Grand River Ave. and Charles St.,  from the MSU Museum and convenient to downtown East Lansing shops, galleries and restaurants. It has more than 150 metered spaces on the basement floor and first level for campus visitors. The ramp is accessible from on-campus via East Circle Drive and off-campus from Grand River Avenue.
  • Typical museum visits are about 60-90 minutes, and we want you to feel like you can go at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Your ticket time is your arrival window—the museum will open at 10:00 am and close at 5:00 pm. Keep this in mind when you are planning your visit. If you miss your arrival window, we will do our best to accommodate your visit depending on capacity.

During your visit:

  • Check in at the Visitor Experience Center on the ground floor
  • Face masks are required for all visitors aged 5+.
  • Physical distancing is required and will be enforced. Groups of people from the same household  may remain together, and children must stay with adults at all times.
  • No food or drink is permitted, except in designated areas.
  • Hand sanitizers are located throughout the museum. We encourage all guests to sanitize before entering and departing the exhibition.
  • Visitors showing signs of illness at any time will be asked to return at a later date.
  • There is no coat check. Please refrain from bringing large bags and bulky items into the galleries.
  • Planning to stop by our TRACKED & TRACED exhibition? Engage with our Mediators! They are there to interact with guests in real-time to help facilitate further conversation around the themes.

Assumption of Risk:

We have taken enhanced safety measures for our visitors and staff. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting. The novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic. The COVID-19 virus is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact.

According to the Centers for Disease and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting the MSU Museum, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Let's do our part to keep our community healthy and safe.
